Plain terms.

These are the rules for using ScriptByrd. They're short on purpose. Last updated 4 October 2026.

Who we are

ScriptByrd is operated by Australian Data Removal Pty Ltd (ACN 695 272 836), an Australian company. "We" and "us" mean that company. You can reach us at support@scriptbyrd.com.

What ScriptByrd does

ScriptByrd helps you keep track of your subscriptions: what you pay, when the next charge is due, what you've decided, and a dated record of it all. It includes a free check that needs no account, a statement scan that runs on your own device, a letter builder and cancellation guides.

What it doesn't do

• It doesn't connect to your bank, and it never asks for your bank password.
• It doesn't cancel anything for you, and it doesn't contact a provider or your bank on your behalf. You send your own letters and make your own calls.
• A saved decision or letter is your record. It isn't proof that a provider received anything or acted on it.
• Dates and amounts found by the statement scan are estimates. Check them.
• Cancellation guides can go out of date. Each one links to the provider's own page. Check it before you act.
• Nothing here is financial or legal advice.

Your account

You need to be 18 or over. One account is for one person. Keep your password to yourself, and tell us if you think someone else has used your account.

The free month

The first 1,000 accounts get 30 days of full membership free. We don't ask for a card, so nothing can be charged when it ends. After it ends you can still see, export and delete everything you recorded. Adding and editing are for members.

Membership and prices

Membership is A$5 a month or A$50 a year. Prices are in Australian dollars and include tax. Paid plans aren't open yet, and nobody is charged until they choose to buy.

The first 1,000 accounts are founding members. A founding member can buy their first year for A$25. The offer is open during your free month, and for at least 7 days after paid plans open if your free month has already ended. From the second year it renews at the standard A$50.

We set these prices to stay put. We won't raise them to increase profit. If a price ever changes it will only be to keep pace with inflation, and we'll tell you at least 30 days before it applies to you.

Paying, renewing and cancelling

Paid plans aren't open yet. This is how they work once they are.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle takes the payment, sends your receipt and handles the tax. We never see your card number.

A membership is a subscription. It renews automatically each month or each year until you cancel. Before a yearly membership renews, we'll email you a reminder.

You can cancel any time from your Account page. It takes two clicks and you don't have to give a reason. You keep your membership until the end of the period you've paid for, and you aren't charged again.

Refunds

If you're not happy with a payment, ask within 30 days and we'll refund it in full. The refund policy has the details.

Your records are yours

What you record in ScriptByrd belongs to you. You can export all of it, or delete your account and data, at any time from the Account page. We use your records only to run the service for you. The privacy policy says exactly what we keep.

Fair use

Don't use ScriptByrd to break the law, to get into someone else's account, to overload or attack the service, or to record another person's information without their permission.

Recommendations

If you recommend ScriptByrd, the rules on the Recommend page apply. That programme is still being built and its details may change. Anything you've already earned stays yours.

The helper

The helper is an AI. It can be wrong, and it can't see your account. Treat what it says as a starting point, not advice.

The Bird Room

Games and toys in the Bird Room are for fun. Some are made by other people. Each one runs sealed off from your account and can't see your records.

If something goes wrong

We'll do our best to keep ScriptByrd running and to fix faults quickly, but we can't promise it will never be down.

Our services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms takes those rights away. Beyond those rights, and as far as the law allows, we aren't liable for losses we couldn't reasonably have foreseen, or for a charge a provider takes from you. ScriptByrd keeps your records. The provider and your bank control the payment.

Closing an account

You can close your account whenever you like. We may suspend or close an account that's used to break these terms. If we close a paid account for any other reason, we'll refund the unused part of what you paid.

Changes

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll tell you in the app or by email before the change applies. The date at the top shows the latest version.

The law that applies

These terms are governed by the law of Western Australia.
